Russia’s ISR-Trans to buy 50% in SG-Trans for 6 bln rbl
SOCHI, Jun 2 (PRIME) -- Russia’s ISR-Trans will acquire 50% in rail freight operator SG-Trans from multi-industry holding AFK Sistema for 6 billion rubles, CEO Rakhman Khalilov said on the sidelines of a forum on Thursday.
On May 27, a representative of the Federal Antimonopoly Service told PRIME that Bashneft-Trans, part of SG-Trans, filed a request to buy 50% in the parent company, which, according to a source in the railroad industry, was the first stage of a deal meant to finish as an acquisition of the stake by ISR Trans.
ISR Trans is a unit of ISR Holding owned by former Vice President of Lukoil Iskander Khalilov
Sistema owns SG-Trans on a parity basis with Vektor Rail of Alexei Taicher, and Ruslan and Timur Babayev.
